At Linkroad, we partnered with Metro de Madrid to modernize critical maintenance operations and mobility management through two large-scale projects. From integrating a fully automated spare parts warehouse with SAP to implementing a mobile platform for commercial, distribution, and field service scenarios, Metro de Madrid has taken a significant step toward efficiency, cost optimization, and digital transformation in public transportation.
Automated Warehouse Integration with SAP
Objective: To design and implement the integration of a robotic warehouse for spare parts management with SAP’s maintenance system, enabling fast, accurate, and fully automated delivery of over 15,000 references.
Coordinating multiple teams to ensure seamless integration with SAP, considering operational specificities.Meeting strict delivery times to guarantee uninterrupted maintenance.Ensuring real-time communication between SAP and warehouse robotics.SAP sends real-time work orders with multiple variables (items, quantity, priority), which are processed by the warehouse software to generate robotic tasks for picking and delivery. SAP WM-MM was configured to support the automated warehouse, with a real-time interface for all logistics operations, including goods receipt, transfers, and inventory management.

Objective: To implement and adapt Consultia IT’s EMX mobility platform, fully integrated with SAP, across different operational scenarios, including commercial management, distribution, and field service for maintenance teams.
Traditional middleware systems evolved into SaaS BackOffice platforms, forcing costly migrations.Clients risked losing existing infrastructure investment and facing high licensing costs.Need for a sustainable, SAP-native solution without dependency on external middleware.Leveraging 15+ years of SAP mobility expertise, Consultia IT deployed EMX as a SAP add-on, removing the need for external middleware. Applications were tailored for different teams: Commercial management: visit tracking, credit status, orders, returns, promotions. Distribution & field service: task management, spare parts availability, repair evidence with images, documentation, and work status. Integration was enabled through EMX/BCP Connector, developed in ABAP, ensuring all information is centralized within SAP.
