Modernising data infrastructure with Fabric Lakehouse
At Linkroad, we partnered with Novobanco to design and implement a new Microsoft Data Fabric Lakehouse Platform, modernising its data architecture to boost enrichment, agility, and intelligent automation. This project created a robust foundation for advanced analytics, improved data quality, and accelerated decision-making, strengthening Novobanco’s competitiveness in the financial sector.

Data Fabric Lakehouse Modernisation
Objective: To replace legacy data infrastructure with a modern, scalable Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse Platform, improving data enrichment, accelerating time to action, and enabling intelligent automation across Novobanco’s operations.
Link Consulting implemented a Microsoft Data Fabric Lakehouse Platform, defining blueprints and frameworks to create a scalable and future-proof data analytics architecture. The solution leverages Microsoft Fabric components to drive enrichment, agility, and intelligent automation, while integrating frameworks and accelerators for DataOps and monitoring. A FinOps @Fabric toolkit was introduced to optimise resources and control costs. The project followed an Agile hybrid methodology with DevOps practices and ITIL principles, ensuring flexibility, reliability, and comprehensive service management.
Novobanco demonstrates how financial institutions can leverage Microsoft Fabric to modernise their data architecture, accelerate innovation, and gain a competitive edge in a data-driven world.
